I can’t believe he’s almost 2 months old.
Next week, he’s going for his very first plane ride, as we head to California for our dear friend Kevin’s wedding at Yosemite. We fly into San Francisco, then drive the 4 or 5 hours to the park. Should be interesting with Mr. I Need To Eat Every Two Hours Or More Clauss. And I’m not talking about Tim.
The great thing is that August is still sleeping really well at night. He usually wakes up about 2 times, but I just roll over and attach him and go back to sleep. He eats what he wants and does the same. It’s a beautiful thing!
August is also over 10 pounds now! I measured him today, and he’s 22 inches long now too! I don’t even think that weeds grow this fast! It’s amazing, how big he is. And since he’s only taking about 4-6 ounces of formula a day now, I’m feeling really good that he’s doing so well with the breastfeeding. My confidence is growing almost as quickly as the baby!
As for my 6-week checkup, all is well. I even lost 23 of the 29 pounds I gained during the pregnancy, which is encouraging, but it’s not like I’ll be skinny once those pounds are gone. We have a long way to go, my friends. Luckily, I have my four walking wiener pals and new walking pal August to get me out every morning. I’ll have to get Tim to take a picture of me some day, so you can glimpse the spectacle of me with four leashes in one hand, the other hand steadying the baby in a sling. Even better is when I have to scoop some Bookerdog poo. I feel like a juggler. Of poo.
So anyway, we keep posting new photos of the baby all the time, so go and check those out often. It’s unreal how much he’s changed in such a short period of time. He is even regrowing some fuzz on his head! Yay, fuzz!
